Summer Break Update: Video games!

What a masterpiece of a video game Nier: Automata is. It's a role-playing game(RPG). The boss fights in this game are hands down, enjoyable. I never experience fighting huge bosses before. Satisfying fights and amazing, amazing soundtrack. The game has several routes which are Route A, B, C and D. In addition to that, 22 comedic endings followed the four actual endings. honestly, I don't wanna spoil but I feel I have put this out there In Route A, you'll be playing as 2B alongside 9S as your companion. In Route B, is vice versa to Route A. You'll be playing as 9S with the same story as in Route A. Route C, you get to play 2B, 9S and A2. For how long? It is your duty to find out soldier.
I once had this video game on my laptop. When I run it, it lagged like crazy because my laptop roughly met the game's high-end specifications. Despite with all the lagging, I still managed to play it until I defeated the first Goliath boss. After that, I quit the game and uninstall it. There was no way in hell that I'll be playing this game with it being laggy and all. The story for this game is also pretty long, so I doubt I had the patience to play this game with the mentioned condition on my laptop. This game for me is definitely the No. 1 video game so far. After finished watching all of the playthroughs, I found myself thinking, what makes us humans? What is the sole cause of the human emotions that we show every day? What makes us show the emotions of love, hate, sad, hatred and many more human emotions. Nier: Automata is one of those games that makes me constantly think about that.
In terms of story, I don't want to spoil anything. Basically, there are two factions, Machines, and Androids. Please, play or watch the game for yourself. The graphics, environment and character design are simply stunning.
My best Android from this game is A2. Probably my best girl. I hadn't had the chance to play as her though. She's a YorHa unit that had been fighting on the surface of the earth for a long time. She had to endure the hardships of fighting, being at war, and come to terms with the death of her other YorHa units. That what make A2 stands out as a character, for me. The hardships that she faced make her stronger and ruthless, even. As if there's nothing going to stop her from annihilating all Machine lifeforms. A2 is one of the protagonists in the game but more towards to the antihero side.
Other characters that I favor are Adam and Eve. In my opinion, their presence is a bit fan-service type thing but they played an important role in the development of other characters such 2B and 9S. Adam is more intellectual while Eve is all about the brawl. They have cutscenes where they are sitting together around an old, long dining table. Eve was really cute and Adam tries to put up with his brother's wishes. Bless Ray Chase for voice acting Eve for the English version.
I would definitely buy a PS4 just to play this game. *sneakers* well, the problem now here is the money. while editing this, this is still my favourite game!!!

Persona 5 is somewhat a new discovery for me this year. I heard about Persona before and that it is a turn-based combat. I can't say much about this game since I'm still watching the gameplay walkthrough by Full Fantasy Peasant probably the only dude whose gameplay I can watch and enjoy The game takes place in Tokyo. I like it when you can feel a little of Tokyo city-life because I do feel that. What digs me about this video game is that the soundtrack. It's a little bit of orchestral rock and roll, and smooth, city-vibe, sad-vibe jazz. not that sad...
This game is turn-based combat style video game. I played turn-based combat game before, which is Final Fantasy XIII because it's my first Final Fantasy game that I get to play. Unlike Final Fantasy XIII, Persona 5 is a bit laid-back, you can take your time in making your next move. It's not an active time battle(ATB) combat system just like FFXIII. In FFXIII, you have to wait for your ATB gauge to charge before you can start attacking your enemy. Good God this game sometimes it pisses me off!
What attracts me to Persona 5 is the UI design. It is truly something different. It is very 'rebelling', at least that's the word I'd choose to describe it. The game lacked dialogue, except for in-game cutscenes and anime cutscenes! Ooohoooohh yeap! A N I M E cutscenes. Anyway, the background music sort of make up for the lack of dialogue.
As for favourite character, hmmmm obviously the Protagonist because he's so cute! That's not much of a reason for liking a video game character but the Protagonist or his given name in Persona 5 manga, Akira Kurusu is my favourite character from the game. Second is, Yusuke Kitagawa. muehehehehe i don't know why I like this guy actually Honestly, I would love, love, love to play this game! Well, I do in fact have a list of games that I would love to play and Persona 5 is one of them. As I said before, I'm still watching the walkthrough. The battle looks fun. The characters are well-designed. Exploring around Tokyo is fun. The soundtrack is good! Yeah! How can I pass up this game?

So this is the part that I would talk about myself and what I'm doing. Next week will be the start of my second year in Applied Arts and Design degree, majoring in Industrial Design. So basically, yeaph! being a designer... sounds great, huh? For me, well, kind of, I... I think. My 'summer break' is me, 'hanging out' in my room all day. Just chilling in my room, all day, every day, even now. Youtube, Pinterest, and chill and sketching. After you read this as if that you're going to the next update will feature my summer break sketches. Uuugggghhhgghh I tend to sketch or doodle on used paper that in a proper sketchbook.
So going back where I am in my room for most of my summer break, sketching and chilling and all, I planned on buying a drawing tablet. Since it's the summer break and I'm going to be 3-months off from stress and workload, so why not, for this next three month, I could practice some digital drawing. I struggled a bit with traditional sketches because I tend to sketch in a very messy way and when I try to erase the baselines of the sketch, the eraser becomes black, and I don't want to waste my time rubbing off the black area of the eraser on another surface but hey that's how eraser roll. At times, I was just too lazy to clean the eraser.
Asked mom if I could get one. Because at the time I asked her whether I could have it or not, the money that I have in my 'piggy bank' was just enough for me to buy a drawing tablet that I wanted. But *sigh* she denied my wish and so, I was like Fine. Okay . Uuuggghhhfine So I can't have it, guess I have to still practice. And yeah, I practice as much as I could. And for the rest of this three-month holiday, I just gave up on the idea of having or buying a drawing tablet and right now, I still sketching on used paper. It's not literally used paper, just old paper from a few years ago. There were two packs of it, it'll be a shame not to use it.
So, looking ahead, I'm collecting money so that I can buy myself a drawing tablet. Second, I thought, in the near future, if I am going to be given chance to become a designer, one day, I'll take that chance. If that doesn't work out, I plan on being an illustrator. It's not going be easy but I'll try. Besides, I can be an illustrator while I'm still studying in university and gain a few bucks from it. But *sigh* we'll see how it goes.
Honestly, I don't know when will my next update will be but probably after 'Mystic Messenger: Another Story' episode come out. After I played that episode, I'll probably be going to write some sort of review about it. hella review LOL. That's pretty much it so far. Enjoy your day !! :)
